I think the idea is that if you are doing at least 4 hours of therapy, if it's working, most people will get over the initial resistance and decide to do it full time.
If this the idea than its a good idea indeed but from reading here and elsewhere the compliance thing is to do with meeting insurance requirement so DME can get paid and nothing to do with effectiveness of the therapy but off course some DME/suppliers can provide outstanding service too
