Completely lost ResMed data

Completely lost ResMed data
Last night marked the 8th night I had been using my new S9, and I was looking forward to reviewing the most recent data. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, both SleepyHead and ResScan found no data to download. Viewing the Datalog folder on the SD card, there was data dated from the 7th through the 14th (8 separate days), but the last set would not download. Quite aggravating, as I had my best night two nights ago, and last night was rather miserable. I was looking forward to seeing what had occurred. Now, I want to make sure I at least get new data tomorrow. When I reinserted my card to see if, through a miracle of miracles, the data had also been kept on an internal memory and would re-download, I got the message on the LCD screen that my card was "erasing". First time for that message as well. Now I have NO data whatsover (other than on my computer, which has everything BUT last night). My plan now is to simply format my card, and start over. Any suggestions? I believe that the S9 does delete after 7 days, but this one waited until after 8. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Well, that miracle (or a part thereof) I was looking for did occur. I had left my SD card in my computer, after reviewing it to find the "erase" performed by my S9 I described had in fact removed everything from the Datalog folder, when I decided to restart ResScan for another purpose. To my utter surprise, the application downloaded (from where on the card I don't have any clue) all the statistics/summary data for the 14th. There is nothing in the Datalog folder, which I now conclude must hold only the detailed data. Now, if anyone can tell me what happened, I would be grateful. I am, however, already grateful that I have both my summary and compliance data!

Not sure what you saw there... I'm not home to check my machine to see if there's some setting to auto-erase the sdcard. Might be that something got corrupted on the card so it clobbered it.

I've never seen what you describe, on mine.

As to deleting after 7 days, that's not entirely accurate - it keeps 7 days detailed data on it. The last 7 days...always. So, on the 8th day, it doesn't delete and start over, it just adds day 8 and removes day 1.

Summary data - the "non high resolution, not detailed" data, does actually live on the machine, so reinserting a new/blank/erased/formatted card will end up recovering *that* data, so you should never lose the summary info, just the detailed, in the case of something weird like this.
