RE: how to get a different CPAP after DME did their thing
when my sleep doc was changing me to a vpap, he wrote the script for vpap only. I talked with my doc and said I want the vpap auto and so he wrote another script.
This is what my RT said: "The auto machines are designed to attempt to learn your breathing and make its’ pressure changes accordingly but then again they are just machines and they are not perfect. Which is why your pressures go up then down then up then down all night long. Ideally this is why auto machines aren’t prescribed."
AND this is why I want an auto machine to make it easier on me not to have a constant high pressure all night long.
