3D printed mouth-guard for apnea

3D printed mouth-guard for apnea
You might know that Australia is the home of CPAP. Now CSIRO (an Australian government research agency) and dental company Oventus have come up with a new dental device for treating OSA. It uses 3D printed titanium to manufacture the device which fits over the upper teeth and has an airway which extends forward through the lips. Frankly I don't think I could ever use one, but for some people it might be just the answer.

Looks interesting, but I have a few questions: Wonder what it costs; what will happen, over time, having a chunk of metal in your mouth - especially if you grind your teeth while sleeping; and, what tune will this whistle-like device play? Whistle
