Ah, my drill down did not get me to that and I thought I was on a page showing ALL of the products. Thanks.

Now cannot find the SV version--I usually am good with this but failing tonight.
Am I correct that Adapt and Adapt SV are 2 different products?

This page and scroll down to Noninvasive ventilation (NIV)

that one is weird form factor--doesn't look like the current S9 models at all.
Getting confused (again)

It dawns on me that a list of the therapy settings available for each
S9 Adapt SV
PS1 autoBiPAP SV

would answer most of my questions--except for the things like "feel".
^^ignore for RS1. Ah I see it above---link click had jumped me past it

I went with the Respronics. Have the series 60 auto aflex though occasionally Sleepy head will list it as a biflex though dont know why.

Liked the way the hose hooks on and swivels the heated hose and the 2 yr warranty.

The Resmed site is a mess - even worse after its recent update. There is a lot of old stuff on there including some old S8 - which is what the one with the weird form factor looks like.

The VPAP Adapt does have limited adjustments compared with the Respironics. It's more of a set & forget type machine. I had a Respironics for a couple of months on trial but really didn't warm to it. I found the machine was forcing me to breathe at its rate rather than supporting my rate. It was hard to get to sleep and hard to stay asleep. Never got an AHI under about 8. When I changed to the Adapt there was a world of difference. It felt like the machine was supporting me rather than forcing me. It was far more comfortable, I was able to sleep within minutes, and my AHI dropped immediately to below 5 and now is typically below 2. On the other hand, the rapid rise in pressure mentioned above can be a bit abrupt and very occasionally will wake me - but that's usually when the pressure goes above 20.

It's very much a personal thing. Others will tell you they greatly prefer the Respironics but for me the Resmed is far superior.
