Of some of the supplies, air filters were mentioned. What caught my eye, was the fact that they (ROTECH) call them non-disposable air filters. They are the Sunset brand.
If they are non-disposable, why do they send me so many?

Air filters
I was online checking what supplies are going to be sent to me in a few weeks. ROTECH is my DME.

RE: Air filters
they send them because they can. if they are not asking if you want them and forcing them on you they are breaking laws. report them to your insurance. tell the dme that they are not to send anything without your permission or tell them not to send anything you haven't asked for it. they know the rules. they make money by believing you don't know the rules.

RE: Air filters
I am skeptical about the efficiency of an everlasting filter. Would you install such a thing instead of your disposable oil filter?

I get new supplies every few months. ROTECH sends me an email letting me know that I'm due supplies. They send an inquiry and ask if I need what is due. Sometimes, they call and I do a telephone inquiry. They don't send me supplies unless I say so. In regards to the air filters, I've always reused them. I didn't have any idea that they were non-disposable. They wash up just fine and work great. After a couple of washings, I do toss it and use a new one. ![]() |
