Aircurve 10 Vauto
Hello everyone,
I got a BPAP machine this week, an Aircurve 10 Vauto. It worked fine for about 20 minutes and then it stopped changing the pressure up and down. It just stays at one pressure. I was flailing with it a bit, the mask makes me sort of claustrophobic and I'm still trying to get it to not leak. So, I'm concerned that I somehow turned off the BPAP portion in the settings. Does anyone have any suggestion about how I can put it back? I'll call the provider on Monday, but it's Saturday and I'm hoping to improve things.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
AK
RE: Aircurve 10 Vauto
Are you sure it is on Vauto mode?
RE: Aircurve 10 Vauto
It turns out it's not on Vauto mode, it's set on S, whatever that is. I thought it was part of the name of the thing.
It's a new unit, just got it via prescription. I'll go look at OSCAR, whatever that is.
Thanks,
AK

The "S" mode is a static pressure mode. You set the EPAP and IPAP pressures, and they will not change.

This also happened to me when I first got my biPAP 2 weeks ago. Set to S instead of VAuto. I would imagine the DME went with the default, and didn't bother to change it.
Check that the setting for your mask is correct. My DME had this wrong, too. Strangely, my FFM (F40) is categorized as "pillows". You might want to check yours?
