I may be mistaken but I think the units made for North America will work in the US or CA. Unless they changed something with this newer technology.

If you have a friend/family in a different part of town bring your machine to their home and plug it in. See if it gets a signal.

I would contact the supplier you bought it from and see if they can offer any insight.

I recently bought a refurbed AirCurve from Supplier #2, so I looked at the modem information in the About Menu.

Mine says the provider is Telus, and the signal strength is -109 db (which is basically non-existent). My local providers are Bell and Rogers, so It's no surprise that I didn't even try to hook up with myAir

I assume similar information would be available on an AS11.
