Airtouch f20 tearing after a few days

Airtouch f20 tearing after a few days
I started using the airtouch f20.  I like it very much and get minimal leaks.
My problem is that two cushions tore at the exact spot at the top near the bridge.  This happened after just a few days wearing.
Is this s problem others have had with this mask?  I don’t think I am overtighening it.
Thanks for your input.

Has anyone else had problems with this mask?  Is it possibly a defect?

I have never heard of this happening. Especially not after just a few days. Could it be possible you received a defective product?

Sounds like you got some from a defective lot, that should not happen.

that's a common tear spot even for the regular airfit cushion. in my experience, it is because the mask is sized too small and sitting too low on the bridge of your nose. these masks are designed to fit higher pretty much between your eyes. the cushions seem to tear easily when fit lower on the nose.

Thanks for everyone’s reply.  I actually am wearing a large because the medium size actually was not sitting in the cleft of my chin. I do also wear it high on my bridge.
Can I ask the people who wear it regularly how long is the cushion lasting?
Btw the airfit silicone I have also worn.  Fits well but had a lot of issues with discomfort on the bridge of my nose.  Also the silicone is very strong and it never tore.

My wife's F20 airtouch cushions lasted her about three months, after which time the memory foam was stiffer and not adapting as well to the face. Thus lots of leaks. She never had the cushion tear.

i've been using the Airtouch since last October. My first 5 masks lasted 5-6 weeks before the foam got a bit tough, but they never split.
my last 2 masks have only lasted 1-2 weeks and all 3 split at the top of the nose - none had previously done it. a pack of 9 was purchased in March 2018 with batch number 1274925.
i complained to Resmed, who got me to return them to them - i'd last ordered the pack of 9 in the uk - all had the same batch number.
they have just confirmed they are sending out a replacement for all 9.
whilst they didn't confirm there was a problem, it seems they might have a problem with this latest lot as i have started to see a few others say the saame problem.
good customer service from Resmed. hope the replacements don't have the same problem, as whilst its a comfortable mask, i couldn't afford to replace every 1-2 weeks.
