Anyone here strictly use just the MyAir dashboard/
I cannot wrap my head around the sleepy software- so I am hoping to stick with the basics on MYair- does anyone just use those? I basically want to just know that when I look at my dashboard and see I scored 92 out of a 100, then I can say, oh good it worked last night--

If you could wrap your head around the Sleepyhead software, you would learn much more detail about your progress instead of just one overall number. Hang in there for more answers to your question.

Cookie, here is the link to Sleepyhead and some Youtube video's you may want to watch if you are going to use it.
For beginners there are two numbers you want to achieve.
You want your AHI to be as low as possible but below 5 and you want your 95 percentile of leaks to be below 24L.
This means on average per hour you stop breathing a maximum of 5 times an hours versus what it was on your sleep study and your leaks are under
an acceptable rate.
These two figures are pretty much the standard way of meauring whether your treatment is successful.
The other most important thing is how you feel now versus prior to your treatment.
Let us know how you go.

Thanks- I guess my question would be why do all that when myair dashboard tells me those things- I have only used it twice so far, so for instance last night the dashboard says how long I have had the mask on (8hrs) it says the mask seal was good, and that I had 1.2 events per hour- and right now, being so new, that is pretty much all I can understand- so why what benefit would I get by using sleepyhead if it gives the same info- Just trying to figure it all out-- thanks !!

Hi Cookie,
I use both sleepyhead and myAir, I understand starting out is overwhelming I'm less than two months myself.
There are a lot of helpful folks on this board so be patient while learning this new life style of CPAP.
I use myAir for a quick check when I'm at work or just want to check my AHI for that night, but for a more in depth of what is going on I'll load my SD card onto Sleepyhead and look at things closer. So As far as using only one that would be up to that individual, now with todays technologies it easier to be able to track things on your own.
The bottom line is how you feel with your sleep when you wake the next day, I have a couple of neighbors that have been on Cpap for many years and they don't even know what sleepyhead is, but they know that Cpap is the best thing for them.
Take care and sleep well Okay
