Your leaks are so large that any other data is basically meaningless. First, control your leaks.

You do have large leaks. Get that undercontrol. Then it might help to use imugar to post your data. Then we can see the data better. Check out some of our signatures for the information to help post.

Peteetah, One thing I'd like you to try is to turn off EPR.  You are using exhale relief at 3, and that can cause a lot of central events in some people.  As mentioned by others, your leak rate is too high to allow for meaningful results of any kind, so you need a new mask, different size or model.

Read the Mask Primer. (my signature) There is a lot of info there on controlling leaks.
The UA are events where the CPAP machine did not know how to classify them.

RE: Are there standard fluctuations in AHI readings?
Just got back from respiratory therapist.......Resmed machine was not working properly, even though all the printouts indicated the machine
was working properly.  Therapist said that there should have been a resmed warning indicating a flow issue.  She is meeting with the company representative.

I was given an identical machine, the settings were installed, and used my existing mask......no leaks!  Plus, no continual flow of air!

I will post sleepyhead data tomorrow.

Fingers crossed.

Morning!

Kind of anxious, not much sleep on loaner machine.  Machine seemed to work the way it should...however AHI was 17. It seemed leaks under control.

Not sure what to do next.  Any thoughts?

RE: Are there standard fluctuations in AHI readings?
Peteetah thanks for the followup on your old machine. That will help us to recognize that problem in the future.

You are having significant clusters of obstructive events, even when your machine rises to pressure that should reduce them. While you may need higher pressure, I will also suggest that this pattern is typical of people with positional apnea that may be treated with a soft cervical collar and other position aids to keep the airway open. Normally this happens when your chin tucks towards your chest and occludes the airway. You have a choice to either treat this obstructive apnea using a soft cervical collar with a roomy fit in circumference and height, or increasing the maximum pressure to about 17 cm. Either way, the problem here is simple obstructive apnea, and the solution is to keep the airway open with pressure or positional therapy.
