Auto Set Machines without modems

Auto Set Machines without modems
I recently had my iCloud account taken over which somehow, through MyAir perhaps, provided data to the hackers data that allowed them to install non-removable Mobile Device Management (MDM) Profiles on a PC then to all of my other devices. My current CPAP machine (ResMed S11 AutoSet) signal denied me access to BlueTooth, most settings, files and folders and eventually encrypted the entire drive. This was confirmed by Best Buy and a security analyst at Apple. It’s ongoing. It appears that because my current CPAP machine has a modem, it was able to connect to my other devices through the cell signal &/or BT to install the MDM.. Apple denies that they installed it.

I’m wondering if someone has a link or a list of CPAP machines (AutoSet preferably) that do not have a modem or a modem that can be disabled, even if it means getting an older machine? I’ve put my S11 in airplane mode but this appears to make little, if any, difference.

I can possibly provide photos/files though most efforts at retaining any evidence has been/is compromised by the MDM..

RE: Auto Set Machines without modems
Hi Ian Cameron!  -  Welcome
Sorry to hear about what you are experiencing.  The Resmed CPAPs use a modem board in their machines that is connected to the motherboard via a ribbon cable.  If you desire not to have it connected, open up your machine and disconnect this cable.  In the interim, set your CPAP to Airplane mode.  This will turn off the modem, but I believe it only does it for 24-hours, so you will need to keep tabs on its setting.

Good luck!
