Autosense 10 behaving strangely

Autosense 10 behaving strangely
Apnea Board,

I have a Resmed Autosense 10 now coming up on 8 years old. Only used for 726 days during that period.  I have been using it regularly since Feb 2024 with a N20 nasal mask, nasal pillows setting recommended by Resmed.

I am seeing over the last 4 months that the nightly usage time is as little as 60% of the actual time with the mask on.  I don't have any leaks or anything else I can see to justify the gaps in recording.  I've attached the daily view from a recent day when the actual use was 5:23:41 and the reported hours were only 3:17:02 (61%).  This problem took me below the 4 hour min for that night affecting my compliance.  This is not taking the mask off multiple times. I've also included the session information for the same night.

The SD card reads fine in my PC and works in the CPAP.  I tried a full-face mask F40 just to check if it was a mouth breathing problem.  I'm seeing the same thing with that mask.

All I can think is that the Airsense 10 is malfunctioning.  Has anybody else seen anything like this?

Cheers,

Bill

I bet dollars to doughnuts that you have Smart Start turned on. If so, turn it off.

here's a very recent link about this.

looks like large leaks can be an issue as well, although i dont see leaks on this chart.

Mouth leaks may be seen as shortening of the inspiratory flow.  If low enough the machine will interpret as you taking off the mask.
Breathe through your nose
Reduce sugar and processed food
Soft collar and seal your mouth

Thanks for your responses,

Smartstart is not on and has never been.

You'd think with a leak massive enough to turn off the machine it would show up in the leaks track.  I haven't had any leaking with either the F40 full face or the N20 nasal masks.  The last time I had any leaking was with the old hard plastic full-face masks in 2019 or so.

I'm thinking something has to be wrong with the Airsense.

Cheers,

Bill

yes Bill, i thought same thing, no leaks on charts, but...

If you could show the details page on the left, without calendar, that could tell us something?

SeePak,

I've attached the left panel.  The session information was attached in my initial post.

Cheers,

Bill

ChadBSr,

Here is a selection.  I included all the tracks I could see on the screen.
