Battery backup for Dreamstation

One addition -- if it looks like a wire, put a fuse in it.
Specifically, fuse any wire that attaches to the + pole of the battery.
If a short occurs, that battery can put out a lot of current.  Melting wire insulation.

Yup.  The setup I referenced with both cables on Amazon showed the pos side of the cable from battery as fused.  

Some come with that fuse in the line, some in the socket itself.  I just looked at what ResMed included in their converter.  Line from battery to socket receptacle is unfused, but the cigar plug itself on the converter side was fused.  I would prefer the line from battery be fused if only one side ...
