Bipap help
Doctor had prescribed me an asv. Which I come to find out is the wrong machine someone had pointed out it was detrimental to my breathing. I purchased a bipap out of pocket I was helped getting some of these settings placed but I'm not sure it's helping much. I still wake up exhausted I have been using it for about a month now. Any help on tweaking of the settings is appreciated. Thank you. I am also using a vcom I was instructed to use it.

RE: Bipap help
Your chart looks good.  The only thing I see is that you are using ramp.  You don't need it, so turn it off.

Most here don't find the Vcom helpful. Remove it and see if that helps.

Try those and let us know if things are any better. Good luck! Smile

RE: Bipap help
who helped you getting the settings placed? if there is one things I've learned is that the chart can look OK/good re: AHIs , and I still wake up unrefreshed unrestored, perhaps because of some overlapping insomnia , that PAP should make better, and yet, if one is a light sleeper I wonder sometimes, what causes all my tossing and turning, and lack of solid chunks of sleep

RE: Bipap help
I will try that tonight. Thank you!

Someone on sleep hq helped me set these settings. At first it seemed to help but the last week I've been exhausted all over again. I am a very light sleeper myself.

RE: Bipap help
Do you feel better or worse? If you are not noticeably worse, stick with these settings for now, and see how it goes.

I feel about the same so I'll try these settings another night or 2 to try to adjust to the machine without the vcom

RE: Bipap help
Don't worry about the hypopneas. You have your lowest AHI so far, and all looks good so stay the course.
