Book: Advanced Analysis of Repiratory Flow Curvess
My Subject is subtitle of the book
Monitoring Positive Pressure Therapy in Sleep-Related Breathing Disorders by Vivien Schmeling Piccin (2023 First Ed. Springer)
I bought the e-edition from Springer for considerably less. All front matter can be reviewed at the Amazon link. As one can see in the table of contents, it is comprehensive.
https://www.amazon.com/Monitoring-Positi...3031502914
I find that typos in Subject box cannot be fixed: Respiratory and Curves are misspelled.
I have no particular qualifications or expertise with respect to the apnea/cpap/sleep related content of my posts beyond my own user experiences and what I've learned from others on this site. Each of us bears the burden of evaluating the validity and applicability of what we read here before acting on it.
Of my 3 once-needed, helpful, and adjunctive devices I have listed, only the accelerometer remains operative (but now idle). My second CMS50I died, too, of old age and the so-so Dreem 2 needs head-positioning band repair--if, indeed, Dreem even supports use of it now.
Erratum: My typographical error in a graphic shows Duty Cycle=Ti/Te where it should have been Duty Cycle=Ti/(Ti+Te) or Ti/Ttotal

RE: Book: Advanced Analysis of Repiratory Flow Curvess
Thank you for the reference. I was able to log on to my county library account and borrow a copy as a secure PDF.
Unbelievable! The book is based on analyzing ResMed's ResScan graph data and provides detailed steps for setting up graphs for analysis.
Quote:In this book, we focus on the high-resolution graphic data of ResMed PAP devices for sleep-related respiratory disorders. With an understanding of the detailed graphs presented by the ResMed PAP devices, the graphical interpretation of other manufacturers should not be difficult.
For advanced graphical assessment of ResMed positive pressure machines for sleep-related respiratory disorders, you will need the ResScan™ software.
ResScan™ is ResMed’s PC-based clinical analysis and patient data management software that allows you to update device therapy parameters and download, analyze, and store treatment data.
It takes a deeper look into patient therapy data using detailed graphs and reports, allowing you to review therapy breath-by-breath across a number of therapy metrics (including AHI, leak, and pressure information) in order to gain clinical insights to improve therapy, enhance efficacy, and support long-term compliance.
