Help Interpreting Results
Hello! I'm brand new to all of this - so if I am missing anything, I apologize! Here are my results. I still don't feel that I sleep well at all with it on. I feel that I have a hard time exhaling with the mask. I have a ResMed AirFit f30I full mask, but I'm wondering if a nasal one might be better as I am usually a side sleeper. Any insight would be appreciated!

RE: Help Interpreting Results
Please post of copy of your sleep report with your info redacted.
Did you have CAs in your sleep study? If not then these CAs may be treatment emergent and will diminish over time. Are you taking any medications that would impact your breathing or sleep? Do have any health issues that would impact your breathing or sleep? Side sleeping is the best position for apnea if possible, so great job! Are you using a thin flat pillow? Your leaks are a bit high and might be waking you up. The leaks seem worse as you are in REM sleep. Your minimum pressure is too low for an adult and EPR won't be effective until you raise the minimum. Try raise it to at least 7 cm or 8 cm. Raise you ramp pressure also to at least 7cm Put ramp time to 5-10 minutes if you are using it. Lower you maximum to 11 cm to lessen the pressure swings that might be causing arousals. Raise EPR to 3 as your flow limits are too high, the goal should be 0.02 and rounded breath tops as you zoom around the flow rate chart. The pressure swings are mostly caused as the machine sees flow limitations and reacts aggressively to ward of obstructive events. Try the settings for a few days and see how you feel. |
