[CPAP] Help With New Machine

Help With New Machine
My wife is just wrapping up her 1 month trial on a AirSense 10 Autoset. The clinic wants an obscene amount of money to purchase the machine. So we purchased the exact same model online for 1/3 the price. Mid way through her trial they had the Min Pressure set to 7 and Max Pressure set to 11. Now they have both set to 10. All other settings seem standard to me and are the same. I duplicated these settings (10,10), plus all the other settings, on her new machine and she said the pressure feels different and so does the humidity. Because the machine is an auto set and a lot of the settings are on auto, does it take a bit of time for the machine to learn her requirements? Should i play with the pressure settings?

Getting an SD card today and will be getting up to speed on Oscar. Just looking for advice for a few days till we get Oscar going.

RE: Help With New Machine
If you use it in APAP mode and set the minimum and maximum to 10 it just delivers 10 and doesn't auto change anything, it's the same as setting it to 10 on CPAP mode. You are instructing the device to not go lower than 10 and not go higher than 10, which = 10.

Since it won't exceed 10 either way lower or higher, so set it back to 7 to maybe 15. These machines don't go to 15 if you don't need 15, but if you do need 15, it's available. If 11 was OK as an average on the rental it will go to 11 and not arbitrarily to 15.

Check the humidity is on, and at the same amount 3, 4 etc., as the old one. And that ramping is off and EPR is identical to what was on the rental.
