[CPAP] Help with OSCAR Data
#11
RE: Help with OSCAR Data
You would do well to raise your minimum to 9 now as your median pressure is 8.84 and you go considerably higher often.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask:  Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution and F&P Nova Micro

RE: Help with OSCAR Data
I tried out suggested changes but looks like both OA and CA events increased and I wouldn't say I felt any improvement in how I felt in the morning.

Would the right move be to possibly go down to 8 min and maybe adjust EPR to 2 or should I try something else?

Maybe I should also try to reincorporate mouth taping?

RE: Help with OSCAR Data
Over half of the events are clear airway events, not sure if they are treatment emergent. Lowering EPR might help as a test, but try not to change too many things at the same time. Maybe others can help.

I wouldn't worry about the CAs for now. They will probably settle down as your body adapts.

I'd keep using these same settings for at least 3 more days before assessing them and considering further changes. Sleep is so variable from night to night!

Just to review: lowering your minimum pressure might lead to more obstructive events, and lowering your EPR might lead to more flow limitations.

If it's possible the leaks are waking you up, you should definitely give taping another try.

RE: Help with OSCAR Data
Your median pressure is just over 10 and max is over 11. With your min at 9 and epr bringing that down to 6.

Seems you are spending too much time at a pressure that offers zero apnea treatment. And also ‘can’ cause treatment based CA’s.
