I suffer from uars, looking for guidance with cpap
Hey, so I was diagnosed with uars and I have cpap, I already tried 7cm with no benefit, and 11 and 10 cm with worsening in symptoms, I need help with finding optimal pressure or even if cpap can work for me, thanks.

![]() Usually your softpap feature can possibly help with your UARS. You have a pretty clean looking charts IMO. 1st chart - From looking at your Flow Rate Chart, it is a little fuzzy at first (spikes when you are falling asleep), but pretty smooth the rest of the night. 2nd chart - more spikes can be seen in your Flow Rate chart though. How do you feel in the morning? Do you get arousals at night that wake you up? Here is more about your machine from our wiki: 1OSCAR Optimisation for Lowenstein You also have some leaks. Here are some tips to help as well:

RE: I suffer from uars, looking for guidance with cpap
Sorry to hear about your bad sleep.
Your tidal volume is low in last night's chart at 8 pressure. It was higher at 10 and 11 (but you also had more mask leaks). It seems like the 10 or 11 would be better since it raises your tidal volume to around normal levels. With your particular machine, the only tool you have besides increasing pressure it softpap. Raise it as high as you can. Looking at your Flow Rate chart from last night, it actually looks pretty smooth (not many large spikes). But you did say that you had arousals last night though. If you can turn off your ramp, it might help as well.

Try your epap at 11 again; and use the highest softpap that your machine has. I think softpap 3.
If you can figure out how to prevent some of the leaks at this higher pressure, your therapy may improve.

That is your decision.
In theory, it should help if you can tolerate it. It may just take some more time to get used to it and adapt to it.

But 11cm made my sleep significantly worsier then ill guess that adding a very uncomfortable feature make it even worse

RE: I suffer from uars, looking for guidance with cpap
Again, its your call if you want to stay at the higher pressure of 11 or not.
You can go back down in pressure and slowly work your way up as you feel better and gain confidence. No rush. You can even go as slow as 0.2 cm every day, or few days, or even a week until you get to the highest pressure you can tolerate that gives you good therapy as well. Don't get too frustrated and give up.
