[Diagnosis] paulauf - Therapy Thread
#41
RE: paulauf - Therapy Thread
Here's a shot of the whole night. There are periods of smooth sailing, but they are interspersed between crazy times that may or may not get flagged. The AHI is actually quite low which is an improvement from where I started. I've been running the following settings for two weeks, most of which using the Amara View face mask:

Ramp on to 6
Ramp time 10 min.
Pressure 9 - 12
EPR 1

There was a previous suggestion to turn off the ramp. Will that help? Is the ramp even needed?

Are you taking any medications? Have you tried talking to your doctor?

Your chart looks decent, yet it seems like your sleep is very restless.
I don't see a reason for it on your graphs. And you're still looking for the right mask, so that could be part of the problem.

Go ahead and turn the ramp off. It may or may not make a difference, but I don't think you need it.

Is the restlessness causing the pattern? I take Citalopram for PTSD. Would it make a difference if I took it in the morning?

If you're sleeping through the night and feel decent the next day, then don't worry so much over periodic breathing.  Many of us here can find examples of PB on our graphs.
Sleep isn't perfect.

Restlessness can come from many reasons, like bad diet, stress, etc.

Talk to your doctor about any meds you take and if they may cause restlessness.
Never change when you take your medicines without talking to your doctor first.
This isn't something we can advise here.
