RE: OSCAR Data Review Request
That is the AB filter.
use it one night and post.

CALL Supplier #2 and ask about ResMed AutoSets. Without question the price is higher than a couple of months ago, thanks Philips

I just looked up the AB filter and I now see what you guys meant, completely different from the regular air filter. I'll see if I can buy one.

As for the new CPAP device, insurance point blank told me they won't replace it just because of a recall because they expect the manufacturer to do, regardless of the fact that if I get sick because of this they would have to pay for that care any ways - they can be so short sighted. However, looks like if the doctor can authorize within their guidelines, they will pay for it. So now I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor. It's insane that all of this had to happen during the pandemic when supply chains are broken everywhere as it is.

Should I try to find a name brand AB filter or generic should do? Looking online I mostly see generic brands if they're available.

The only name brand filter I know of is Pall. It's pleated so it has more surface area than the disc filters so there will be less back pressure and should last longer. It's also more expensive. I don't recall which vendor sells them. The generic filters should be fine.

My local DME had thethe filter, so I managed to get one. I didn't feel much pressure difference, seems ok.
