RE: Flow limitations
It doesn't make much difference. If you bracket the IPAP to be equal to EPAP min plus PS, then it's fixed pressure, otherwise you get up to 0.6 cm of auto pressure change in Vauto mode. In VPAP-S mode, you would use EPAP 7.0, IPAP 11.4. I like Vauto mode because it gives better feedback on flow limitation statistics. In VPAP-S the auto algorithm is locked out, so the machine does not track flow limits.
RE: Flow limitations
Sleeprider,
I wonder if I should turn on auto start? Is there any disadvantage?
I thought I turned the machine back on, but must not have a little after 11 pm.
Also I had a slight leak with my left Bleep Eclipse, which might have woke me up later around 3:30 am.
I forgot to turn off the inline bacterial filter also. I used it briefly on the slightly used machine.
My breathing looks a bit better, but there is room for improvement. Maybe I need a few more nights to get used to this Bilevel?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RE: Flow limitations
I have always used auto-start. It's very responsive and will turn the machine on with just a hint of breathing. The only disadvantage is it can shut off the machine when it detects a very large leak or no resistance on the mask. The trigger change has reduce the CA events and surprisingly your tidal volume is a bit higher. I see your statistics show rise time at 150 milliseconds. Is EasyBreathe on?
RE: Flow limitations
I will use auto-start then.
Yes EasyBreathe™ is on.
My nose starts to run with Eclipse halos
I started to use the Bleep Eclipse this week. When I put on the Eclipse halos, my nose starts to run. This seems to cause the Bleep Eclipse to leak progressive worse until after a few hours I have to take them off. I then put on my P10 cushion.
I don't have this problem with my P10 or N30 cpap cushions
Any ideas to help with this?

RE: Flow limitations
With EasyBreathe™ turned on, I learned that after I turn off the machine, I have to hold my breath until I get the mask off or the machine will turn back on. Confusing at first in the middle of the night.
The Bleep eclipse worked well last night.
My flow limit pattern is a bit better, but not as good as I had hope with this bilevel machine.
Any thoughts on adjustments?

RE: Flow limitations
Jdougc, your flows limits on that all night chart are 0.0. Those are perfect.
It would help if your chart had a better setup.
Your chart should be showing:
Events
Flow rate
Flow limitation
Pressure
Leaks
RE: Flow limitations
The auto-start function is very sensitive, but to turn the device off, simply remove the mask and it will stop in several seconds. No need to turn off the machine first.
RE: Flow limitations
Super7pilot,
In the " S" Mode, the Aircurve10 does not display Flow Limits, only in the VAuto Mode. That is why I attached the zoomed in graph to show the Class #6 flow limitations that I experience almost al night.
RE: Flow limitations
Sleeprider,
Thanks I wasn't sure if that worked as fumble to disconnect the short hose on the Bleep Eclipse. I still not used to sliding them off my nose. I will try tonight if I remember.
