CPAP newbie trying to interpret Oscar
#21
RE: CPAP newbie trying to interpret Oscar
Ok thanks. I read the links, and am searching amazon for the recommended collars, I am using a CPAP pillow, so the collar probably a better bet than the anti-snore pillow.

Do i need to adjust the settings, or just add collar and check the numbers?

Just add the collar and then post the results. Very likely changes will be suggested.

Thanks. I there any concerns with the SCC impeding mouth breathers and the FFM mask. I am using the Dreamwear.

The Cervical collar tends to promote nasal breathing by keeping the mouth closed. It shouldn't impact the use of a facial mask.

Update with use of the Futuro cervical collar. The first session is without the collar, but the 2nd and 3rd are with collar use. The numbers certainly look better. The wife did report an increase of snoring with the collar use, which has not been an issue since starting the CPAP. It does appear I am staying at the max for some stretches of time. What recommended adjustments do you all recommend.
Thanks again!

Would an increase of max to 16 be warranted?

I want to try a PS =4, we can't.
Your obstructive numbers are low and I'm tempted to lower the max to drive the pressure down. That will be mostly determined by how you feel

Your flow limits are higher than most and they are what is driving your pressure up.
Let's keep these setting for several days and see what happens. Let's see if your results hold.
Very important give us a critical review of how you feel, how you are sleeping.
