CPAP - side benefits with other heath issues?

Of course it does!  Not many people bring a six foot hose to bed!

I am using the CPAP about 1.5 years but I too gain weight 12 lbs, still not too much energy, I had severe apnea 84 ahi, now average 3, for the good thing about it is that I only wakeup only one time at night vs 4-5 times, better breathing during the day, my blood pressure is much better, my hearth rate is better too. one thing that I should emphasize is that cleaning is very important, I used to clean the mask, water tank everyday with dish washing liquid,hose ones or twice a week, however my wife was telling me that sometimes my breath was smelling, and when I go see the doctor, he was telling me that I was having mild bronchitis, than I got SOCLEAN machine and their cleaning solution, it was very helpful , I use it everyday, this also eliminates the cleaning of the tube too.  Got it thru amazon for $200, I did not know if my insurance would have pay  for it, I should have asked before I bought it.
