CPAP tuning help
Hi,

Been trying really hard to adhere to CPAP therapy this week after 3 years...Was diagnosed OSA w/ AHI 33. I was 100kg and I have lost 20kg since but symptoms have gotten worse. Past three months I have had to move to fully remote work due to all day headaches and fatigue.

Had my first full week of CPAP with decent hourly usage. I feel worse then not using CPAP. Been learning how to read OSCAR data. I changed my settings from 4-20 to 7-20 with EPR 3. I found I need the EPR3 to fall asleep.

Is their anything I should change? I have posted last nights OSCAR results. Thanks.

Fixed my oscar chart to the correct standard. Any recommendations? Thinking of lowering my max to 11 tonight.

RE: CPAP tuning help
Your maximum pressure is not a problem. It looks like you need more minimum pressure. With EPR 3, your starting pressure starts at 7.0/4.0 and that does not keep your airway patent from obstructive events. I'm going to suggest a minimum pressure of 8.0 and maximum of 12.0. That should give you a head start on the obstructive events, unless those are coming from sleeping on a tall pillow or something that causes your chin to tuck and obstruct your airway. Overall, your results look good and the central events are pretty harmless and can be related to shifts in position, changes in sleep stage and normally go away as you adapt to the improved ventilation of CPAP.

RE: CPAP tuning help
Hey,

Hoping to get some advice on my latest sleep data. Still getting mad headaches. Despite low AHI. I have attached data when mini pressure was set at 7.6 and 8. I bumped it up to see if increased pressure would fix my headaches. Not sure where to go from here from a tuning perspective.

Thanks.
