Can the Resmed Airsense 10 be locked remotely..
Can the Resmed Airsense 10 be locked remotely or when inserting a SD card again after the doctor or DME has downloaded the data? By locked I mean lock a user from seeing or adjusting all the clinician settings? The clinicians guide shows a unlocked symbol in the upper right but maybe that's always there when in the clinical menu. I was wondering if it could be locked by the software in a way that would prevent holding down the knob and button to get into the clinical menu.
Thanks

Not that I'm aware of. The lock symbol could be indicating the SD card. ResScan has the ability to adjust the CPAP's settings but will delete all data on the card when this feature is used. A quick way to see if the doctor has used this is to look at the card when you get home and see if the old files remain as when you took it to them.

RE: Can the Resmed Airsense 10 be locked remotely..
It is my understanding that a form of remote locking via the "Essentials Mode" setting can be enabled via the professional AirView system available to registered clinicians accessing registered devices.
While some settings can be changed remotely from AirView, the CPAP device has no password protection, and everything is accessible from the clinician menu. ResMed AirView cannot format, delete data, or lock an SD card remotely. My original doctor used ResScan to change my pressure settings using my SD CARD. When I reinserted my card, it was detected, and the settings were applied. The stored detailed data was gone. The device rewrote its basic information. Any detailed data not transferred to ResScan or Oscar was gone forever. ALWAYS TRANSFER YOUR DATA TO RESCAN OR OSCAR BEFORE VISITING YOUR DOCTOR WITH YOUR SD CARD. Enter the clinician mode and set it to Essentials "Plus" to access more settings -- and go to the clinician menu to access everything else. The warning on the ResScan Screen in the Settings Change Mode reads... "All SD CARD / USB Flash Drive Contents Will be Deleted. To apply device settings, all existing files and directories on the SD card / USB flash drive will be deleted. Are you sure wish to continue applying settings to this drive?" Yes/No.

RE: Can the Resmed Airsense 10 be locked remotely..
Thanks for the info.
I just got my new Airsense 10 Autoset yesterday. The DME had the mask type and EPR settings incorrect. It did not come with a right side cover so I have to get one of those. With my S9 I would remove the humidifier tank and close the cover for the cool down cycle before shutting off the outlet/surge protector strip to dry the hose. The the A10 you must either empty tank and put the wet tank back in or use the separate cover or the air will not blow into the hose and mask to dry out. Then I would have to wash the hose every day instead of every several days. I could see the seals needing to be replace a lot more frequently than the lid seal on the S9. I use ResScan v5.9 with my S9 and other than making a very fast Dell desktop with 64GB Ram get the 'Not Responding' hang ups it works okay for tracking. Will this or a newer version work with the Airsense 10? I had be looking at OSCAR or Sleepyhead and another that you must pay for to store more 30 days data after seeing videos of others showing a flow or sleeping graph that's a lot different than ResScans Flow limitation. It seemed to show breath by breath volumes and align with hypopnea events, etc. Its supposed to be a new machine (the DME uses used/refurb machines) if you don't get from the local office. I looked in the outlets with a bore scope and it looks new. One thing that I don't remember my S9 doing is that it had an odd smell using it last night despite having it run in mask fit mode for 20 minutes when I set it up. Almost a slightly burnt smell. It is supposed to have the same motor as the S9 so this was unexpected. The DME had reason to clean anything when programming so I don't know what to think of that. From my experience ResScan does not erase the card but if I do not lock the card before inserting, Windows 7 and 10 put some files on there causing the machine to reformat before it will use it. When I lock the card I have no problem. |
