Cannot Complete Install of OSCAR [solved, see post #3]
I tried downloading and installing OSCAR 1.6 on a new Windows 11 computer. I have been using OSCAR on my Windows 10 computer for almost 7 years. The installation went smoothly. I chose the option to create a folder on my F drive. That failed with the message "cannot create a folder on the F drive." I have checked the permissions and they seem correct. I tried running Oscar with Administrative permissions but that also failed with the same message.
I have uninstalled the application and reinstalled it so I could try the default folder setting. But Oscar now skips that step and tries to create the folder on the F-drive. An install, reboot, and reinstall of Oscar did not change anything. If there is a setting where I can change back to the default folder let me know. Can someone help with this problem?

RE: Cannot Complete Install of OSCAR
I have made some progress. I removed the settings for OSCAR in the registry. That allowed me to specify the folder on the F drive. But since the folder is empty, Oscar responds with words to the effect: This folder does not contain Sleepyhead or OSCAR data. You cannot use F:/MyOSCAR.
RE: Cannot Complete Install of OSCAR
Eventually, I stumbled onto a solution.
I manually copied my OSCAR data to the folder I wanted and created a profile in Oscar so it could display the data. It is working now.
