Cannot get Oscar to launch in Windows 11

Cannot get Oscar to launch in Windows 11
Hi
I have an HP Laptop running Windows 11. I've downloaded the latest Oscar1.6.0 64 bit version. It installs but will not launch.  I've tried many Windows 11 Youtube suggested options to find the issue but have failed. Any one else had this issue?  I realize this is likely a Windows setting issue but I do not know what it would be.

Thanks

RE: Cannot get Oscar to launch in Windows 11
Hi all -
I am also new to this board so I am just looking around and see lots of great information.  I too have downloaded the .exe file for Oscar1.6 64 bit and cant get this installation program to launch.  It will flash but nothing.  I am running Windows 11 pro on a desktop machine.  I may try my laptop as well but wanted to start here.
Thanks,
Dave

I did some more digging and found this
RE: OSCAR Install Problems on Win 11 Pro
At that point, it would be a system log file. Out of curiosity, have you looked at the properties and security settings of the installation file?

I think I may have answered my question. I just downloaded 1.5.3 and after jumping through a few hoops, got it downloaded. When I look at the Properties, on the General tab at the bottom, it has an "Unblock" checkbox. Does yours have the same? If so, did you check it? Also, add "Everyone" with Full access to this file in the Security tab. OSCAR installed and ran after I did these 2 things.

I don't have the ability to post a link since I am new on the boards but I did find this information. I wanted to give credit where credit is due. Thanks to Crimson Nape the above fixed my issues.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks.

Where can I find ver 1.5.3 to try this? I did previously see this too and looked at Properties for 1.6.0 but there is no Unblock option on the General tab.

OSCAR 1.5.3 was the current version at the time of that post. The current version is 1.6.0 and will use the same procedures.

OK.
Yes I'd tried adding Everyone with Full access but still doesn't launch. I don't see an Unblock box in General tab.

Thank you anyway. I'll give up. SleepHQ works but I'd rather use Oscar but its not to be.

My 1.6 version had the same check box. I followed the same steps.
Good luck

Hi,
Version 1.6 installs, shows Profile Page, but will not run on my PC. Or download on my Samsung tablet Galaxy Tab A8 at all.

The only thing I can see on my Desktop is the Profile page and cannot access Statistics tab or any of the other options, File, Overview, etc. I am running windows 11.0 on a Dell desktop. This is what it says in my debug box on the Profile Page. I don't know if this helps but here it is:

RE: Cannot get Oscar to launch in Windows 11
Discombobulated - It could be the graphics driver causing this problem. To try another driver, either go to File > Preferences > General > Graphics Engine and make a selection, or hold down the SHIFT key while starting OSCAR. The last option will cycle to the next graphics driver (a total of 3) each time it is pressed. Once you have hopefully found one that works, don't use this option again.
