Changing profile path on Windows

The data imported from Resmed card goes into the current user Documents folder on windows. 

That is not appropriate at all, as this folder is usually indexed by Windows Search, and that would include thousends of files really not needed to be indexed for a search. 

Also the Documents folder is usually included in backups.

I would like to move the default folder where the data from Oscar is saved to, for instance, another Drive away from the Documents folder.

I looked at Oscar Preferences but there is no way to change the directory path there. I see here there are some files related to the profile paths: https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...ofile_Page

Is there a way to change the profile path without going into these files manually, or even reinstall Oscar by selecting another folder to save the OSCAR_Data?

Move or copy the OSCAR_Data directory to the desired location.  Make sure it is on either your PC or local network and not a virtual or cloud location.

1st Option:

1. Open a command prompt (DOS) window. (Windows Key + R, then type, cmd, and press enter.)
   
2. Type the command, "C:\Program Files\OSCAR\OSCAR.exe" --datadir "complete path to the new data location".
   
3. Press Enter - OSCAR should start now, set to read the new data location.
   

2nd Option:

1. Windows Key + R, then type, regedit, and press enter.
   
2. Navigate to: HKey_Current_User ⇾ Software ⇾ OSCAR_Team ⇾ OSCAR ⇾ Settings.
   
3. Look on the right side for the entry, "AppData" and double click it.
   
4. In the Value Data box, enter the path to where you want your data files stored.
   
5. Press the 'OK' button, then exit the registry.
   

To verify where your data is being stored, go to Help ⇾ About OSCAR and look on the right side, under the logo for the phrase, "Show data folder".  Select it to display the path to your data.

Yes, it worked, I used the first option. (The path you mentioned in Program Files also needs the Oscar directory, C:\Program Files\OSCAR )

A pop up will open after running Oscar and I selected No and chose the folder manually in the file explorer windows opened.

Lastly I confirmed it in the About Oscar window and also in the AppData registry key at Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OSCAR_Team\OSCAR\Settings
