Clear airway events when awake

Clear airway events when awake
I'm seeing clusters of CA's - clear airway events - when I'm trying to go back to sleep. I know I'm awake by the other breathing charts and my watch. I have a tendency to breathe deep and deliberately when i'm trying to fall back asleep. Anyone else have this? Is the machine reading my deliberate breathing as CA's?

The Machine reads you holding your breath and calls it central apnea.  This typically happens then tossing

Gideon, thanks. That explains it. I do pause between inhale - exhale when I'm trying to relax back to sleep. Thanks for the answer.

You can do the same thing by taking shallow breaths and exhale normal. Doing that will also artificially reduce tidal volume, and this will invoke a need to breathe signal don't breathe in until you get urged to.

Experienced much the same results when I woke to my alarm and reached over to grab my meds. It appears that I hold my breath when rolling over and reaching for my meds. I have learned to disregard those results after speaking to my doctor.
