Could use some help with temperature and humidity settings resmed 11
I’m on my first few nights. I have some details to dial in, but I am
amazed at what a difference it has made in my sleep and my daily life already. I have the heated hose and nose pillows. It’s on automatic for temp and humidity.
Twice now, I have woken up hot and clammy and the hose is full of moisture. I wonder if I should move away from automatic, but have no clue where to start with the settings. I also wonder if the air is so warm
it is causing me to be hot and sweaty.

I did better running manual humidity and heated hose. Try 3 to 4 humidity, and 78° F hose. Also consider the hose holder to fly it in an inverted V, with the CPAP slightly lower than your bed level. The holder can arrange the hose to run uphill to your mask, to facilitate draining the moisture back to the humidifier tub. This won't cause issues with the CPAP because water can only flow into the tub
Mask Primer
Positional Apnea
Attach OSCAR, etc.

ResMed says auto climate produces constant 85% relative humidity at 81 degrees F. My RT says the "auto" humidity setting is equivalent to a manual setting of 4.
I would back down from there, and start with manual humidity of 3. Set the temp to what feels comfortable to you.
Although not an overt rainout, I've had the same "wet nose" feeling with pillows on the "Auto" setting. Now running humidity level at 2, and 74 degrees is where i've settled in. It may just take some experimentation to see where you settle in to what is comfortable to you. Good luck.

Thanks. 4 and 78º made a big difference with the issues. I might try going a little lower at a time to see how it goes.
