DIY - EEG?
Has anyone tried to get more accurate sleep tracking with a DIY EEG tool like rasberry pi eeg https://pieeg.com/pieeg/? Possible integration into OSCAR?
What is the least number of electrodes that would be needed?

RE: DIY - EEG?
I can't imagine why anyone would want to hook themselves to electrodes every night. Oscar gives us all we need to achieve our best pap therapy results.
If it's something you simply want to pursue, and the cost is not daunting, then go ahead. Good luck!

Primarily to measure arousals. Is that possible with oscar alone?

RE: DIY - EEG?
Hi Ocean2578,
I tried playing with OpenEEG (https://openeeg.sourceforge.net/doc/), which seems to be in the same area, many years ago. My original diagnosis was: non-REM AHI = 4,REM AHI = 61 so I thought it was worth looking into. There was a crowd called Olimex that supplied the prebuilt unit and electrodes. I never got much of a usable signal out of it. The biggest issue was siting the electrodes and keeping them in place. You really need someone else (who knows what they are doing) to place them in the right place - a mirror won't work - and you probably won't get very far without the conductive gel - which I suspect will be a bit messy. Back in the day there was something called a Zeo headband which I also tried but didn't get much out of it. Maybe I've just got a thick skull...

It sounds good on the outside, but do you have an AI program to scan approximately 8 hours of data that can determine the arousals?
