About the little handle - I neither cut it off or make a hole in the tape. I just tape right over it. It's tiny and barely protrudes.
No, the Somnoseal is not training me not to mouth-breathe, it's just preventing mouth breathing, along with the tape. The tape alone doesn't completely stop mouth breathing, and the Somnoseal won't stay in without taping. At some point I will try the tongue-training and possibly be able to discontinue both.
