[Diagnosis] S. Manz - Therapy Thread

RE: AHI 60 to 0.43. LOVE the ASV mode, but
Another unhelpful and angry reply.
Why do you folks insist on being rambunctious, anyway? It must trigger some "feel good" hormones or something (that I also don't know about):-)

RE: AHI 60 to 0.43. LOVE the ASV mode, but
Thanks for the response and no I would not increase therapy pressures because one, I won't be able to sleep properly and two, after I told my doctor that I titrated her therapy pressures down to find the right pressures for me, she agreed with me and also mentioned that I should keep these low pressures because increasing them without my AHI going out of control, may contribute to more apnea. (strange but comes from a sleep doctor, so).
Anyway, right now my AHI is in a good place but if it starts to average upwards, I will have to do something about it.

RE: AHI 60 to 0.43. LOVE the ASV mode, but
If you won't at least consider what we mention, then the question becomes why are you asking us?
INFORMATION ON APNEA BOARD FORUMS OR ON APNEABOARD.COM SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED MEDICAL ADVICE. ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A PHYSICIAN BEFORE SEEKING TREATMENT FOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS, INCLUDING SLEEP APNEA. INFORMATION POSTED ON THE APNEA BOARD WEBSITE AND FORUMS ARE PERSONAL OPINION ONLY AND NOT NECESSARILY A STATEMENT OF FACT.

RE: AHI 60 to 0.43. LOVE the ASV mode, but
My question was not what to do about a 0.43 AHI but specifically if there was anyone who knew how the Resmed Aircurve 10 ASV algorithm ends up registering these events as Hypopnea.
I appreciate people willingness to help, but I wasn't asking if anyone knew how to kill an insignificant 0,43 AHI:-)
Hope that clarifies.
Here's my original question, again:

",,,,,,,,,Any ideas how "Hypopnea" events are registered by ASV algorithm?,,,,,,,,"

RE: S. Manz - Therapy Thread
Funny how two supposedly similar ASV machines can produce two entirely different readings. I bet if you were to restart using your Dreamstation ASV, you will find your hypopnea events registered under some other event, or not registered at all. Like you said, no need to worry about such low AHI but I personally think that these events are in fact CSA events registered as Hypopnea and then again the manufacturers keep saying that CSA event "never happen" with ASV , right? Big Grin
Sorry to see your great post getting spammed by some like that respondent who comes out of nowhere and claims that your chart is "crazy". Its like what on god's green earth are you on, right? Big Grin . It happens everywhere online. I wouldn't feed the trolls if I were you.
Good luck.

I am glad I read this thread start to finish. It gives me good insights on journey struggles on ASV. Good luck with your continued therapy and restful sleep be always at your side.
