Do different masks provide different airflow pressure
As I have shared in another post, I love my old Puritan Bennett Breeze mask and if anyone knows where I can purchase more send me a message. In the meantime I am continuing to try and am challenged with the smothering feeling that the Airfit P3oi is creating. I am wondering if I need a much higher pressure setting for it to be equally effective as the Breeze nasal pillows provides. The Resmed machine starts at 11 (I got rid of the ramp) and when I wake up with the Breeze is shows a sleep pressure usually varying from 11.7 to 12.2. Yet even at 11.7 with the Airfit P30i I struggle with breathing and gasping. It never feels like a good airflow. Does this make sense? Do different masks have different airflows? Thoughts and experience anyone?

RE: Do different masks provide different airflow pressure
Hi, Lovethebreeze
Under My Options, the ResMed machine has a setting to be changed for different types of masks, i.e., full face, nasal, or pillows. I think the setting for p30i would be pillows. I feel like you shouldn't be encountering that much difficulty with the p30i, though, unless something else is going on. If you download OSCAR and post some charts, other users here on Apnea Board could to identify what is happening and make suggestions regarding pressure settings or other changes to help you sleep better again. Here's a link to the OSCAR download page: https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/ And here's a link to information on posting charts: https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php?title=OSCAR_Chart_Organization Please let us know if adjusting the settings helps or not, or if you have any questions about OSCAR.

RE: Do different masks provide different airflow pressure
you set the pressure on the machine. every mask is going to deliver that pressure. the pressure may feel different in different setups. but it is the same pressure.
