With the release of OSCAR 1.1.0 I can now sync my O2 data to my nightly xPAP data.
They're currently $190.00 on Amazon. Pricey, but it was worth it to me.

RE: Does anyone use pulse oximeter?
I use a Wellue O2 Ring recording pulse oximeter. There are no wires. It slips over a finger just like a ring. Overnight readings can be synced to a smart phone or PC.

RE: Does anyone use pulse oximeter?
I was able to get my pulse oximeter delivered yesterday. I've not owned one prior to this, but I need one on hand due to apnea and COPD. Unfortunate, my limited funding reduced my choices. I have gotten the Contec CMS50DL, which is fine but it doesn't record. Solution for myself, I'll get a recording model when I can.

RE: Does anyone use pulse oximeter?
I use the pulse/ox kit on mine. It's phillips and I have the dreamstation. It plugs into the modem side of machine. I got it about a year ago to this date. (I found this post as I was searching for information in regards to my setup) I have loved it until here recently. Oscar imports the data from my memory card to computer. It's been easy to use.
Side note: Mine isn't recording data all night long now. I'm not sure if a year of use has caused a break in the wires or what but I'm only getting about 5 minutes of broken up recordings a night from it. I came here looking for an answer because I'm not prepared to buy a new one already, because it costs more than the cpap machine.

RE: Does anyone use pulse oximeter?
I use a Resmed APAP with the dedicated. Nonin Oximetry kit.
Pricey (whew) but based on my medical history I need this and decided to cut out other luxuries in life to fund this. Over the last year this works out to 2.7 AUD per day. Price of a bad cup of coffee. Depending on your medical condition and your insurance rules, no harm in trying to get a prescription/subsidy. If you do order a dedicated unit for your machine make sure you order the 3 meter lead rather than the 1 meter lead. Longer means you can move around more. Data just uploads from the SD card into Oscar. Occasionally I miss some data, probably comes loose/off finger. I alternate index/middle/ring finger to minimise pressure points. Make sure you get the right size for your finger. Need to lightly tape it in place to stop it moving. If/when it breaks I will look into an alternative like a ring oximeter. |
