Downloading Oscar Mac problem

Downloading Oscar Mac problem
New to sleep apnea treatment and Oscar. Overwhelming.
So likely a stupid question, but once I have downloaded Oscar it says to activate account.  Digital content unlimited box comes up asking to activate account. The next step says to include a credit card  Number. This does not seem legit.
 Is this scam?
Thanks for your help.

RE: Downloading Oscar Mac problem
You have downloaded something that is not OSCAR... Did you use a 'download helper'?

OSCAR does not have any costs or credit card activation.

the only legitimate place to get OSCAR is from the page linked at the OSCAR menu item in the black bar at the top of the page.

RE: Downloading Oscar Mac problem
Thank you for the reply. I have severe limitations with computers.
I normally use iPad for most anything.  A friend and I tried first on an older Mac-no luck.  We then tried on a newer Mac and was able to download Oscar.  We then setup  the profile with success.  Unfortunately, after sd card was inserted in the unlocked position data was not able to upload. Any suggestions?

RE: Downloading Oscar Mac problem
When you open the profile and click "CPAP Importer" it should ask you where you want to import from (or show the last import location). On your Mac it should be something like: /Volumes/NO NAME
or whatever the name of your SD card is.
You can click "Specify" and it will open a Finder window. In the left pane it should show your SD card name. Just select the SD card name and not any of the files or folders on the SD card. If there is data from your machine on the card it should import.
