Dr. Petkus Review
First, if you are happy with your apnea remedy, good for you! This is not an attempt to convince you to stop.
I've spent years and tons of money trying to figure out why CPAP/BiPAP wouldn't work for me. I've been to a half dozen apnea specialists, three surgeons, and tried everything to get this to work. The equipment fully wakes me up too many times at night so I was always exhausted.
Dr. Petkus was just another Hail Mary attempt at getting some quality sleep.
Short version is that his program worked for me. I sleep 6+ hours a night without interruption and no longer use a CPAP machine.
Long version is that it is an expensive, not eligible for insurance coverage, program that takes a lot of time and effort to work.
Expensive: $7,000 for the 12 week program, $8,000 if you pay over two months, $9,000 for the three payment plan. You also will need to spend another $1,000-$1,500 on other equipment & supplements. He doesn't sell these and he provides exact information on what to buy.
Time: I was putting in 2 hours daily for weeks before I saw improvements. There's 3-5 videos to watch per week to learn why he'd having you need a particular supplement or why red light therapy is helpful. There's a daily Zoom call for an hour where you can ask questions. There is a weekly online spreadsheet to track your compliance with the program and your progress. Then there are the breathing exercises, grounding, watching the sunrise/sunset daily that also take time.
If you have basic questions about his program, I'll answer them.
RE: Dr. Petkus Review
I have a question: have you reported him to the Florida medical licensing authorities like others have done if you read the latter part of the other topic?

Thanks for the link to the other post. I was aware of that one, but thought people might want to ask questions from someone that completed the program.
Yes, he and the other MD on the staff are not licensed. Doctors cannot treat people outside of their own state. I was not a patient, but a client.

RE: Dr. Petkus Review
Patient or client, does the word describing the action matter if an unlicensed person is getting fees to treat you? And would this not come under federal jurisdiction, as this is crossing over state lines? You ought to ask why he won't get a medical license.
Note that Mr. Petkus uses MD in his self description. Doesn't MD mean: "This is the designation for "doctor of medicine," which is earned by obtaining a bachelor's degree (which takes four years) and then graduating from medical school, which also takes four years. Doctors go on to complete a residency (which takes three to seven years) and must pass a national licensing exam."? I do think the intentional skipping over the licensing is questionable.

Attach OSCAR, etc.

RE: Dr. Petkus Review
OK, I took a risk posting this and I accept that. I did not post this to sell anyone on Dr. Petkus' program.
I thought perhaps others like me that were unsuccessful with sleep apnea treatment by licensed MDs would be curious about an alternative. I've wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on sleep doctors, sleep surgeons, dentists, orthodontists, and a maxillofacial surgeon without relief. I have a closet full of masks, machines, neck braces, special pillows, etc. which didn't have an effect on my sleep problem.
I feel better than I have in years. I can sleep 6+ hours nightly which I haven't been able to do in 30 years.
