Drying Tubing

Drying Tubing
I have a Resmed Autoset 10. It bothered me that there were a few drops of water on the inside of the tubing. I thought it would be a good idea to use a hair dryer to blow warm air through it to dry it out. NOT a good idea. The tubing melted.

I am hoping that others don't make the same mistake. I am lucky that I have a spare.

That sounds impossible from a hair dryer. Are you sure you didn’t grab the heat gun and put it on high.

Having a hard time visualizing a tube melting from a hair dryer. Was this a ClimateLine or some cheap tubing?

Anyway, it's not a problem having a few drops of water in the tubing. It will dissipate as soon as the air from the Cpap is flowing through.

Throw the hose over a shower head or shower curtain rail and it will dry in the daytime. Gravity will remove most of the water.

There is no need to do this daily but after washing a hose it keeps the water from dripping on the floor.
