Ears popping from full face mask

Ears popping from full face mask
New user. Started with a Philips Dreamwear under the nose mask. Pretty comfortable all in all and it seems a good fit, aside from causing some skin irritation right at my septum. Problem is more often than not my mouth drops open at some point in the night and the air shooting out wakes me up. Called the DME and they me the Dreamwear full face mask (it arrived after 8 days...are all DME companies so slow? I live 5 minutes from the office where I had my first appointment and got the stuff, but they said I couldn't just go there to pick it up  Huhsign)

Tried it on yesterday, and set the machine to check the mask seal. My ears popped almost right away and left me feeling uncomfortable the rest of the day. Think water stuck in your ears for a couple days kinda feeling after you've been to beach.

Am I doing something wrong here?
