EncorePro 2 password locked [unlock utility in post #3]

My program works with the "Reset Admin Utilities" program that is found in the Start Menu-Respironics-Encore Pro2-Utilities-Reset Admin Account.

Normally you would run the their "Reset Admin Account Utility" and a window with a code would appear, you would provide this code to Respironics and they would give you an unlock code, which then would allow you to reset the password.  As individuals this service is not available to us.


What my program does is, it launches the "Reset Admin Account Utility",  reads the key code, generates the unlock code and clicks the unlock button for you, so all you have to do is enter your new password, confirm it and then press Reset.

My program tries to do this automatically, if it fails, it should give you the option to do it manually.  If you can't get it to work I can post the manual unlocker.

I am having problems here.

I downloaded the unlock utility, which worked great, but when I entered a past password I got a message saying something like "value is out of range".

Problem is I have got in a muddle with uninstalling and reinstalling EP and am not even sure what the last password I set was.

What's my best bet? Another uninstall and reinstall?

You should be able to reset the password again, just pick something different, add a 1 or something.

The utility resets the password fine and I am using the User Name: EncoreAdmin

However, the new password brings up the same error message "Specified argument was out of the range of valid Values. Parameter name: Max width cannot be less than Min width".

Is this the newer EncorePro 2.21a?

It's version 2.2.1.4.1 - downloaded using the link from this board for 64 bit systems.

I am wondering whether traces of previous installs are still in the Registry, and screwing things up somehow, despite my using an uninstaller programme that promises to erase all trace (but I don't fully trust).
