[Equipment] AHI on the rise - until I disconnected humidifier!

AHI on the rise - until I disconnected humidifier!
My Philips Dream Station has been reporting an increase in Central/"Clear Airway" apneas over the last 4 months. The app has shown a steady but significant increase from about 2.5 (consistently for 2+ years) to a recent average of 14 (with some nights showing a handful of obstructive apneas and as many as 100-150 central apneas).  I was concerned and my doc was going to switch me to an ASV type bipap.

Until I went on travel this week and disconnected my humidifier and left it at home. My AHI this week has been less than 2 each night!  I can't imagine the humidifier was actually causing CSAs, but perhaps it was causing some error rate in equipment?  Anyway, I'm curious if anyone has seen this or has any insight?  Welcome your thoughts!
