Airsense 11 vs Airsense 10
Looking to replace my wife's Airsense 10 Autoset, is there a preference for the AS 11 over the 10 or vice versa? Both seem to be available.
Thanks
RE: Airsense 11 vs Airsense 10
I'm no CPAP expert by any means, and I do have a 10 AutoSet. I got it in back in Sept. of 2018 and it's been great.
From what I have seen on this forum, most seem to prefer the 10, if given a choice. That's good enough for me. ![]()

It would depend on your CPAP supply stockpile. Several items are not interchangeable between the 2 models.

RE: Airsense 11 vs Airsense 10
I have had a Model 11 for several months now after using Model 10s for years. The 11 is my preferred machine even though I still have a working 10. The hardware is a little different; 1) the heated hose connector (M10 is much better) and 2) the power plug into the 11 is unusual at least to me; never seen one like it. I have a Pilot Battery Backup and the M11 required a different cable between the Pilot and the M11. I had to do an Internet search to find a compatible power cable.
The main complaint with the 11 is the difficulty of changing the machine's clock when the time changes, or when traveling. During the setup the user sets the time zone (in GMT) where the machine resides and that sets the clock and it cannot be changed without doing a complete machine reset including reformatting the SD card or just install a new SD card which will prompt the user to reprogram the machine. I know it sounds like I am down with the 11, but like I said, I have both and I am using the 11. If I wanted to, I could easily switch back to using the M10. I like the M11's touch screen and it is easy to make changes as needed. The cell modem can be turned "off" (called Airplane Mode on the M10) and it will not bother you again like the M10 does ("are you sure that you want the Airplane Mode"?). The machine is a little more modern looking than the M10 and it is not as tall as the M10. The included travel case is smaller than the M10's because both the machine and the main power brick is smaller for the M11. It is a close call, neither one is a slam dunk over the other. As I understand, the blowers are identical in both models. The main differences are looks and the touch screen. I have switched from APAP Mode to CPAP Mode, which was an improvement back when I first made the change while using the M10 and have not looked back. It is close to a toss-up. |
