How do I know if a non For Her machine has the latest update? As in detects RERA? Without using it, I mean.

The first two digits are a country of manufacture code that I can never remember, the next two are the year of this century, the third pair are the week of the year, and the last five are the sequence number... PaulaO2 I think pholynyk's reply to Freetime is your ticket. Don't accept an older machine, even if it has no Runtime hours.

Paula, I'm not sure of the exact time when RERA was added to the Autoset machines, but everything in 2016 on is safe. The original 2014 and early 2015 models did not have it. All serial numbers begin with 22 or 23 followed by the year of manufacture (14, 15, 16, 17, 18). I think 23 is Singapore and 22 is Australia. Most of the machines we see in the U.S are 23. I kind of think RERA is over-rated, but if you want to follow that it's fine by me.
