How frequently to you do a deep mask cleaning?
New to CPAP... How frequently do you clen your mask? Experience with any of the after-market commercially available cleaning apparatus (systems).

I clean mine about once a week or so. No fancy expensive commercial cleaners, just some hot water and some dish soap. That's all it takes.

I do use some Clorox Disinfectant Wipes every now & then. They do have an aroma to them, but it quickly dissipates. I clean the headgear right along with the frame and mask cushion.

I use cpap spray and baby wipes to clean the inside and outside of the cushion as well as inside the elbow (every morning), a bottle lasts quite a long time and the baby wipes are cheap Smile

I tend to forget the hose elbow! Thank-you for mentioning it. Just tonight, I removed mine and gave it a good cleaning.  Cool

Thank you for your post!  it’s just one more thing to deal with every day—however,
frankly, the payoff is substantial when you get it right.

Hmmm... getting it right a subject all to itself.

A little effort daily means we're not only sleeping better but also giving our health the attention it deserves.

It’s a bit of a hassle, but worth it when you consider the alternative.

Wishing you restful nights and easy breaths!

I just massage mine under warm tap water every morning , bang it on a towel to get the water droplets out and hang to dry. Never a problem.

Once a week I wash my mask and hose in the sink with dish wash.
They then get hung up to dry. Hose gets swapped with the spare and mask back to use.
It's worked for me for 15 years.

Good thinking, spare hose-- No worries about drying time :-)

Thanks
