Once a month I had planned to soak my mask and tube also using a tube brush with antibacterial soap. Do you feel that would be enough?
I recently was provided a new replacement CPAP by the Veterans Administration. My Nurse told me when going over the care of the hose, mask etc not to use antibacterial soap and to use a mild soap. There was a technical reason not to use the antibacterial type that I do not recall.

The same for me.
In Montreal QC there are a distilled water shop where you refill a 18liters (4.73gal) container for 5.00$can tax included.
Opposite to most people, I am using a Resmed S9 Autoset since 8 years with MINIMAL maintenance... can I be excluded from this forum if I say...
1 - All days I never touch the CPAP when I step of the bed.
2 - maybe once a month I clean the huminifier with soap, rince and shake with 99% iso -alchool and then rince with distiled water.
3 - each 3 or 4 months I clean the tube.
and
surprizinly since 8 years I very rarely catch cold, much less than before and very short.
THIS IS NOT a recommendation NOT TO CLEAN EACH day... this is just the experience of a lousy user.
