[Equipment] ResMed Auto Sense 10

When I turn off my ResMed Auto Sense 10 I get a message that says

 
! Attention

Motor life exceeded,
contact care provider

It seems to work normally otherwise.  What does this mean?

How many hours on the machine ? I think there is a message at 22k hrs.
It’s basically there to tell you it’s time for a replacement even though it will still function.

If you are a bit DIY you can buy a new motor for around $100 and change it in maybe 90 minutes. There are excellent YT videos with a video step by step not only to dismantle but put it back together. This is something you don't always see in a repair video (they expect you to remember and do the steps in reverse).

However it will still show that message. For $300 or so, you can send it for repair and it will be reset (that message).

You might get 10,000 more hours out of it so neither option is a huge risk day by day.
