Sudden Unusual Machine Noise
My ResMed AirCurve11 ASV has suddenly started emitting a high-pitched whining noise that varies with the pressure. Has anyone else with a similar machine experienced this? If so, what was the resolution to the problem?

Hi BradHolt! -
![]() First, check that your humidifier is fully seated. After that, check your hose for any pinholes. I've had my hoses fatigue where the hose connector mates with the hose. Good luck! - Red

RE: Sudden Unusual Machine Noise
Thanks, Red. I tried your suggestions and there was no change. I also tried running the machine without the humidifier and without the hose connected. The machine, of course, only runs for a second or two before shutting down without those two devices connected, but during that time the whining noise was still present. It seems as though the noise is coming from either the motor or the air pump.

RE: Sudden Unusual Machine Noise
Change the filter and try a much lower pressure as a test.
