Whirring sound
My ResMed AirCurve 11 ASV makes a mild whirring sound separate from the air whooshing sound when I use it. I uploaded an audio recording, recorded using my phone 4 inches from my machine during use after the ramp. I've had this machine for about 3 months. Can others chime in whether it sounds normal or abnormal?
I have seen other posts about a mooing sound (that video definitely sounded worse than mine) or other tonal noises (can't post links yet, it seems). But it would be great to get a check from other knowledgeable ears.
Thanks!
(edit: my audio file attachment doesn't appear to be making it to the post!)

I didn’t listen to the video, but when my AS 10 needed a blower motor replacement it made a whining type of noise during exhale. Supplier # 28 can fix that.

RE: Whirring sound
I was thinking like Nightynite. I didn't listen to the noise either, but I have an s9 Adapt ASV, that makes a noise that I would probably describe just like you did (Whirring - and independent of the noise from air circulating through the hose.)
I think my motor is just ramping up pressure (quickly), then letting it drop (quickly); which accounts for the noise. Kind of like a transmission of a motor noise.
Nightynite gives a plan if you want to check it out.
Edit: I went back and listened to the sound. Even at the highest volume, it was hard for me personally to hear the noise. Kind of like the noise mine made, but mine seemed even louder. Up, down. Up, down. The blower motor.

RE: Whirring sound
My airsense 10 started making a whiny whirring noise which increases on inhalation. Can’t sleep with it. I think it’s because stuff got into the machine past the filter.
RE: Whirring sound
Thanks all for the feedback!
RE: Whirring sound
I had that whiny sound during inhalation too. Could it be moisture in your tubing/mask exhaust or like my issue - the water tank wasn't sealed properly even though it was fully pushed in. I had to squish it downwards and then the seal seemed to tighten properly.
RE: Whirring sound
Interesting that the sound was related to your tank. I just pushed on mine and don't think that was it (but related I had to wrap rubber bands around my tank so it didn't click as the pressure changed back and forth)
